Hi! I’m Vivian.
I hold a BFA in Experimental Studio Art from Syracuse University and a Graphic Design Certificate from Clark University.
After college, though, I didn’t create much art. I had lots of ideas and wrote them down in my sketchbook. I planned to do them. I even bought supplies for these projects. But they never got made. I resisted them and procrastinated and was too much of a perfectionist to ever get started. Because what if they didn’t turn out how I wanted?
Then in 2013 I became certified as a Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach. It was during one of the worst times in my life – my son who was 9 at the time was sick for a whole year. I learned tools that would allow me to start painting and making art again, as well as get through this difficult period I was living through.
Since then, I’ve developed a fairly steady creative practice and turned Cuppa Creativity – which started as a coaching practice – into a fully-fledged art and design studio.
Today I live in Rockville, MD with my husband, teenage son, and the world’s most docile cats, Chickpea and Nemo.
